RULES

NYCPG Library

Lending Rules and Regulations

Materials

Board Members, Treatment and Education Providers and NYCPG Members will have library-lending privileges.

Due to the fact that some publications are out of print not all materials will be available for sign out. Those materials, which are not available for lending, will be available for use only in the NYCPG office.

NO materials may be copied or used in any fashion other than deemed acceptable by NYCPG.

NYCPG has the right to deny the use or lending out of any materials

Books / Videos / Audio Tapes

Everyone will receive a list of materials that are available to borrow from the NYCPG library. Lists will be updated as new materials become available.

Materials must be requested in writing (i.e. – mail, e-mail, fax).

Books and Audio Tapes may be signed out for a period of 25 days. Video Tapes may be signed out for 21 days. This starts from the date of shipment from NYCPG ending on the date postmarked on the return shipment.

All materials will be shipped UPS Ground. Unless otherwise specified (i.e. 2 day, priority overnight etc.).

All materials will have a card inside the front cover stamped with the return due date. Remember that this is the latest date in which you are to ship the borrowed material back to NYCPG.

Extensions on borrowed materials:

Must be requested in writing a minimum of 3 days in advance of the return due date.

If an extension is granted you will receive written acceptance from NYCPG.

Extensions are on a one-time basis per item for a period mutually agreed upon.

Extensions may be denied for any reason. Materials must then be returned on the date due or late fees will be assessed.

All materials must be return shipped to NYCPG via UPS ground, or a similar service (i.e. federal express, airborne express, etc.).

Please notify us of tracking number and date of shipment when returning materials.

Late fees will be assessed at the rate of $0.50 per day and will not exceed the total replacement cost (if applicable).

Materials that are 2 months past due will be assumed lost. Late fees and replacement fees will be assessed at this time.

Please notify NYCPG of any lost materials as soon as you are aware the material is missing.

Lost, stolen, un-returned, or damaged materials are the responsibility of the borrower. The borrower will be charged for ALL costs in replacement of the item as well as any late fees.

The copies of the requested articles and reports are yours to keep.

Articles and reports will be sent regular United States Mail unless otherwise specified.

Shipping fees are as follows:

Publications: No charge

Shipping: 1-5 Articles: No Charge

6-10 Articles: $3.00

10-20 Articles: $6.00

Shipping fees for books, videos and audiotapes will be based upon cost determined by shipping service, quantity, weight, etc.
